Decentralized evaluations: Global Affairs Canada
Decentralized evaluations are initiated, funded, and managed by Global Affairs Canada’s program teams, or conducted jointly with other donors in line with Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development – Development Assistance Committee (OECD-DAC) evaluation criteria and standards. These evaluations are usually carried out by external evaluators of one or more projects at any stage of the project life cycle and can also have a specific thematic or sectoral focus.
These evaluations provide important evidence to the project stakeholders to support learning, decision-making and program improvement.
