Rationale

This list is updated on an ongoing basis when it has been determined that a country is an appropriate destination for the export from Canada of prohibited firearms, weapons and devices, while maintaining consistency with Canada’s policy of strict export controls for these items via a case-by-case analysis of each permit application.

Narrative

The Automatic Firearms Country Control List (AFCCL) currently lists 46 countries which have been deemed as appropriate destinations to which Canadians may export prohibited firearms, weapons and devices. The list is amended as required, following internal and external consultations to assess whether additions are warranted.
