Rationale

Review of the Import Arms Permit to assess its usefulness and usability in collaboration with the Department of National Defence (DND), the Canadian Commercial Corporation (CCC), and Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA).

Narrative

The Import of Arms Permit has not been updated since its coming into force and therefore, the Department, in collaboration with DND, CCC and CBSA, will identify opportunities to assess its effectiveness and ensure it remains relevant with evolving legislation, day-to-day program management and various government priorities.
