Rationale

A periodic review of Governor in Council regulations defining the expression of official development assistance must take into account, among other things, the most recent definition of official development assistance formulated by the Development Assistance Committee of the Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development (OECD-DAC).

Narrative

The objective of the review would be to take into consideration any updated definition of official development assistance by the OECD-DAC. No review is recommended at this time given the regulation entered into force on April 1, 2022, and the OECD-DAC definition of official development assistance has not changed in that time.
