Rationale

Determining whether the privileges and immunities granted for the African Union representatives must be maintained.

Narrative

This Order grants privileges and immunities as well as legal status to representatives of an international organization. It is necessary to evaluate whether these are still adequate today. Canada is accredited as a permanent observer to the African Union since 2009 and has a dedicated mission and Ambassador to the African Union since 2023.
