Rationale

These regulations are being reviewed to ensure they are fit-for-purpose and in line with Canada's foreign policy objectives in relation to the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.  

Narrative

These regulations have been reviewed and amended twice since 2011. There are some areas of the regulations that could be updated to enhance coherence with more recently instated regulations under the same legislation.
