Modernize the General Export Permit (GEP) 18 to take into account new technological developments and better align with its user's needs. These regulations will likely need to be updated or even replaced to be modernized.

Narrative

GEP 18 has not been updated since its coming into force in 1989 and therefore, the Department will identify opportunities to assess its effectiveness and ensure it remains relevant with evolving technologies.
